Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 July 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and GoCardNG ("we", "us") and apply whenever you use the GoCardNG mobile app or website. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What GoCardNG does
GoCardNG lets you sell gift cards for naira. You submit a card, we show you the rate and expected payout before you confirm, a trained agent reviews the card, and if it is approved we pay the agreed amount to your Nigerian bank account.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have a Nigerian bank account in your own name for payouts.
- You must provide accurate information when signing up, and keep your login details to yourself.
3. Your responsibilities
- Only submit gift cards you own and obtained legally. Submitting stolen, fraudulent, already-redeemed, or otherwise invalid cards is strictly prohibited.
- Do not use GoCardNG for money laundering or any unlawful purpose.
- Do not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or abuse the service, other users, or our agents.
- Keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from our fault.
4. Rates, review, and payouts
- The rate shown when you submit a trade is the rate you will be paid if the card is approved at the submitted value.
- Every card goes through human review. We may ask questions in the trade chat before deciding.
- If a card cannot be verified, is invalid, or has a different balance than declared, the trade may be rejected or adjusted, and we will tell you why in the app.
- Approved payouts are sent to your verified bank account, normally within minutes. Delays at banks or payment providers can occasionally add time.
5. Identity verification and limits
Trade limits depend on your verification level. Higher limits require identity verification (BVN or NIN) as described in the app. We may decline or reverse verification, or apply limits, where we reasonably suspect fraud or are required to by law.
6. Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, submits fraudulent cards, or creates legal or security risk. Where lawful, we will pay out any legitimate balance owed before closure. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@gocardng.com.
7. Disputes
If you disagree with a trade decision, raise it through the in-app dispute or support chat within 30 days of the decision. We will review and respond in the app. Nothing in this section removes rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.
8. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but we are not liable for losses we could not reasonably foresee, losses caused by events outside our control (such as bank or network outages), or losses arising from your breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.
9. Changes to the service or these terms
We may update the app, rates, limits, or these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes to these terms we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use GoCardNG after that means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute that cannot be resolved directly with us.
